A Heartfelt Thanksgiving: 2024 in Review at The Gem Museum

As 2024 draws to a close, we at The Gem Museum (TGM) want to pause and give thanks for an incredible year filled with growth, learning, and milestones. Here’s a look back at the amazing journey we’ve shared with all of you:

January: A Sparkling Start

  • We began the year with our Diamond Fundamental Workshop on 4 January, setting the tone for a year of discovery.
  • An inspiring interview with SUWA in Japan and participation in the NAJA 61st Annual Education Conference deepened our global connections.
  • A fruitful Tucson purchasing trip brought back educational specimens and updates from the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show.

February to March: Gems and Growth

  • Our CNY Ang Bao Campaign celebrated generosity.
  • A Team Planning Session on 24 February laid the foundation for our year’s vision.
  • We participated in the HK Fair (27 Feb–2 Mar) and visited the China ShenZhen Museum (6 Mar), expanding our horizons.
  • A Pearl Class on 15 March and the launch of JRS Gem Adventure in late March added educational gems to our lineup.

April: Resilience and Renewal

  • April saw challenges like TGM flooding on 14 April and the breakdown of our beloved Portal of Happiness on 20 April.
  • Despite the setbacks, we celebrated a milestone as Far East Gem Lab and Far East Gem Institute became Far East Gem Research Institute.

May to June: Events and Connections

  • Attending GemGeneve with Janet Hyun (8–13 May) was a highlight, and our first-ever EDM Night at TGM on 31 May was a fun twist!
  • June brought Night at the Gem Museum Weekend (20–22 June) and a meaningful collaboration with Sunlove on 25 June.

July to September: Firsts and Milestones

  • July was packed with firsts: Healing with Gems (17 July), Gems & Investment Workshop (20 July), and our largest-ever student visit by Looker Group on 31 July.
  • In August, we explored Indonesia’s diamond mines and joined the 2nd Talent Creation Free Trade Innovation Competition, where we were finalists.
  • September was dazzling with the 1st Gems & Art Exhibition at Mercure Bugis (24 Sep) and SJA Anniversary Dinner (6 Sep).

October to November: Education and Collaboration

  • October featured a live Radio 95.8FM interview and our sharing at the Adventist University of Philippines Business Benchmark session.
  • November was packed with excitement: the launch of our JRS Booklet, our first collaboration with My First Skool, and hosting our largest group visit ever with Morningstar’s 48 children and 6 adults.

December: Christmas in Queenstown!

With a grateful heart, we would like to invite all our visitors and friends to come and look for us at Christmas in Queenstown event from 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 December 2024, at Church of the Good Shepherd, Singapore. Because we have many things to giveaway just to show gratitude to all our readers, visitors and supports!

Looking Ahead

We are deeply grateful to every partner, visitor, and supporter who made 2024 a memorable year. Thank you for joining us in celebrating the beauty and wonder of gemstones, and we can’t wait to bring you more in 2025.

Here’s to another year of sparkling adventures! 💎✨

With gratitude,
The Gem Museum Team
